Jewellery and accessories that are something dream like with Rosie Weisencrantz

Have you seen these amazing pieces!!! I'm in love with them. Rosie Weisencrantz was established by textiles designer Caroline Rose Dent, following a whimsical dream...

This is what she says about her work.

I use linen thread to  weave together old trinkets, flowers and antique lace to make beautifully crafted one off pieces of jewellery and hair adornments in the form of necklaces, bracelets, headbands, rings and earrings. My main customers are brides to be.
I approach every piece with fresh eyes, like an artist creating a new work of art, or a poet writing a new poem I like to think that my work is, in essence, about romance, memories, fantasy, nostalgia and dreams, and as such, have a poetic quality that  transcends all notions of material value.

Rosie Weisencrantz is  actually a character in a dream I had : an artist whose work was  so incredibly beautiful that I awoke from the dream with a mixture of awe and envy, and had to write the dream down. As my middle name is Rose anyway, it just felt right to take her name for my jewellery brand.
In many ways I feel that she has always been a part of me. I think we all have an alter ego,  waiting to reveal itself,  and Rosie is mine...

You can see, try on and buy Carolines work at Miss Vintage wedding Affair On the 21st October.

Visit her website for more details on her work.

Make your own personal impression with You and Me Wedding Rings!

When I first saw these amazing rings I was struck by how unique, intimate and private to the wearer they would be.

The You & Me wedding rings,  devised by designer Patrick Laing, are moulded around your lovers finger so that you're forever holding hands. Together, the two of you create your own rings using Patricks specially developed system. They can be made in different metals including silver, yellow, rose and white gold, palladium as well as platinum. Patrick told me a little more about the rings.

"The rings were launched in late 2011 and have since seen a huge amount of domestic and international press, recently they won the 2012 Innovation Award at www.NotOnTheHighStreet.com and exhibition pieces have been requested for the Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne 2013. "
Patrick Laing,  is a multi disciplinary three dimensional design studio based in central London, we specialise in the manipulation and play of materials. This can be seen in our broad output from jewellery through to home-ware, industrial product, store and exhibition design.

Jewels By Design London Dazzling us at Miss Vintage Wedding Affair!

Jewels by Design is the creation of Louise Needham. Since she was a young girl she has had a love of old beads and buttons and she would spend many hours playing with a box full of them (which her mother had also played with years before!)

Louise has worked in the antique trade for eighteen years. She started her business in the London markets such as Camden Passage, Bermondsey and Covent Garden. During this time she had collected many pieces which have been broken, forgotten and generally unloved.
She says: “The pieces I use span across the decades from the 1900s to 1960s. I like to think of the journey these items have been on and of what stories they could tell!  Everything I design is a one off and for many women knowing they have something bespoke makes it extra special to them. I design headbands, tiaras & hair combs for weddings, prom nights, and other special occasions.
I also hand make a range called “Love Is…” which are designed from vintage 1930s pearls & original clasps with two charms. As the bracelets have been so popular (especially for presents for bridesmaids) I have brought out a necklace collection as well which is based along the same themes. I have created a collection called “Button Bracelets” These antique buttons which are made from French Jet, celluloid, glass and brass are matched with original pearls and crystals of single or double row and set with vintage clasps. Truly unique and guaranteed to never find another one these bracelets are in constant demand. I attend vintage fairs and wedding fairs to showcase our items where I take along my working boxes for clients to dig through (no girl can resist a dig through a box of sparkles!) or perhaps someone has a piece of jewellery left to them which I am happy to incorporate into a design for a really personal commission. Each and every item carefully designed and crafted to bring each bride a very personal experience.
Louise also carries an extensive range of period costume jewellery which makes fantastic gifts and which will add splendour to any occasion!
