The next fair is October 20th 2013 at the BAC...! Yehhhhh!!!!

Quirky, vintage-loving brides are in for a treat as the famous Miss Vintage Wedding Affair returns to London for a fourth run. Following three successful fairs catering for creative brides-to-be, the fourth Miss Vintage Wedding Affair will be held at Battersea Arts Centre on Sunday 20th October 2013 from 11am until 4pm.
The fair, run by vintage-enthusiast and fine artist, Amelia Barnes, has become renowned for its focus on high-quality and original suppliers offering handmade wedding services with a focus on stylish, contemporary vintage. Many of the wedding industry’s most talented and unique suppliers are already confirmed on the exhibitors list, including Annamarie Stepney Photography, Donna Crain headdresses, Love Art Wear Art shoes, Vintage Floral Teas, Fiona Kelly Photography, Oxfam Bridal and many more.

In addition to its list of creative exhibitors, Miss Vintage Wedding Affair is well known for being a full vintage wedding experience. The first 400 brides to arrive at the fair will receive a goodie bag, filled with exciting gifts. Musicians such as The Vintage DJ and Chris Ward Guitarist will provide entertainment throughout the day, and interactive stalls such as Lucy Lou’s Pop-Up Parlour will give brides the opportunity to relax, be pampered and try out styles for their big day.
London caterers, FEAST, will be on hand to tempt brides with a full lunch menu of nutritious, mouth-watering food and a glass of bubbly in the vintage tea room.

Blooming fab floral displays from Jay Archer Floral Design

You haven't seen rustic, fabulous natural looking flowers until you have seen the amazing Jay Archers work. Jay just know what looks right and that's why I was so thrilled when she said she wanted to be part of the next Miss Vintage Wedding Affair.

This is what she says about her floral design service:
Flowers. Love them. Always have, always will. Weddings. Love them too. The best part of my work, next to said flowers, is meeting fab couples, learning what makes them tick and working together to design a scheme completely inspired by them. Whether their shared passions are travelling, cooking or knitting I tie in details that reflect this. I grow all my own herbs from seed including rosemary, chamomile, lemon balm, sage and mint as well as decorative grasses, sweet peas and sunflowers. I like to use unusual bits and bobs including fruit, vegetables, plants, seedheads and non-floral flowers in paper, wood and fabric.

I enjoy a good forage in the hedgerows! I try my best to be green too by composting all of my flower and garden waste and use only organic compost for my seeds and beds. Our growing space is modest so anything we cannot grow in beds or containers we source from local wholesalers who supply British and internationally grown produce of the very best quality- you will always know where your flowers have come from whether it be Britain or abroad. I cover Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, London and West Sussex.

Fussy formal wedding shots? ...not with "We Not Me"

As weddings have changed, the way that we document them has too. Capturing your wedding day in the right way for you is so important, and if you are not a fussy formal person then why should your wedding album be?

Meet Anita and Tom at We Not Me... The work is stunning with a relaxed elegance. I knew I would love Tom and Anita's work when they emailed me saying what they loved about photographing weddings...

"... we love Outdoors weddings, simple dresses,
sharp suits, fun people, less formality and more fun...Photographing people is what we enjoy the most - especially when those people say 'i do'. We like to keep things simple, natural and fresh. We let the events of the day unfold and photograph things as they happen. We don't start directing the day, this way weddings flow smoothly and the pictures happen naturally. We live in London, and we will happily travel anywhere in the world"

I thought... "Great, I must work with these people!" and this is why. Just take a look at these images.

They will be hosting a pop-up photo booth at Miss Vintage Wedding Affair on the 21st October at The Bac.Come and have your picture taken.

Fiona Kelly Photography Tells your special moments...

This Is Fiona Kelly. She specialises in photographing weddings in a way that tells a little story of that moment in time and something about the people in the photos. Its all about you, your story and those important moments!

This is what fiona says about her career as a photographer.

Being from the Lake District I am a northerner at heart (still have the accent) but one who loves London and, to be honest, prefers the weather in the South East! I love the vibrancy of the city and then completely appreciate the slower pace and beauty of the countryside. Its the best of both worlds.

In 2008 I got married in Las Vegas, amongst a small group of friends and family. It was this amazing day, and our honeymoon road trip round California that really pushed my photography love affair to the next level. I had worked as a photographic art director for many years, being the person behind the photographer putting together the creative vision, but my desire was to do more than just direct.

It wasn't enough any more, I wanted to take the photos.
I have always thought that life is to be experienced fully and every challenge, no matter how scary, to be met with excitement at what might be round that first corner. It was this rather crazy attitude that finally pushed me into making photography a career and I am so glad of it. Theres never a dull day, no work day is the same and I love meeting and getting to know so many wonderful people who welcome me into their lives for their most special day.
So thats a little about me. Im creative, independent, easy going and possibly the most organised person you will ever meet! I love people and would love to hear your story.

Come and have a chat with Fiona on the day of the fair about how she can capture your special moments.

An elegant sip from Katie-Janes 'Winecups' ...

I was intrigued when Katie-Jane of Winecups contacted me about showing at the October Miss Vintage Wedding Affair. I just knew she would fit in perfectly when I saw the pictures of her quirky and fun "Winecups". This is what Katie-Jane says about her fabulous product.

"I was in search of individual wedding favour ideas for my wedding last year, I love the idea of using vintage crockery but wanted a twist.  So I painstaking and lovingly handmade these Tea cup wine glasses as favours.  They went down a treat and have had so much good press that I decided to make and sell them to other brides to be looking for something unique."

They make great great gifts for the bridal party and favours for the ladies, they also work well as a statement on the top table.  What ever you choose to do with them they cause quite a stir.
Each tea cup wine glass is individual, made from a fine bone china vintage tea cup, and packaged in a elegant protective tube casing.
Perfect for any vintage themed wedding.

Introducing Jordanna Marston Photography...A snapshot!

Let me introduce to you the lovely Jordanna Marston who is a photographer. She is very passionate about what she does and this is what she has to say about her work...

Hi! I am Jordanna and I like taking pictures of people in love, beautiful places and fun loving families. I love meeting people and making them beam with cheek-aching happiness through my images. I like to think I do things a bit differently whilst producing creative, characterful and lovely wedding photography. Although my home is in Northants I am happy to travel wherever my camera takes me – all over the UK and abroad (yes siree!)

I am, hand on heart, delighted to photograph a couple’s wedding and to thank you for choosing me I will offer you a unique service so your individuality is reflected throughout your day through a combination of beautiful unobtrusive images, candid characterful shots – like dad on the dance-floor,  and with a little time spent with just the two of you to get those extra special portraits as a newly married couple. Once the celebrations are over I will put a lot of love and care into editing a collection of gorgeous images for you that tell your story in an honest and personality-packed way.
From the traditional church to a vintage themed DIY alternative do, from bump to baby and beyond my aim is simple – to produce genuine, characterful, gorgeous photos that you and your family will treasure forever.

Photography aside things I love include: sunny, wintery days, anything Italian, visiting art galleries, interior design, illustration (currently indulging my love of children’s books with my gorgeous son, Rocco, as my excuse!), days out and meals in with my family, whiling hours away on etsy and pinterest and planning my own wedding…whoohoo!

Jordanna will be exhibiting at Miss Vintage Wedding affair at The BAC in October, So do come and have a chat to her about your wedding photography.
