Quirky, vintage-loving brides are in for a treat as the famous Miss Vintage Wedding Affair returns to London for a fourth run. Following three successful fairs catering for creative brides-to-be, the fourth Miss Vintage Wedding Affair will be held at Battersea Arts Centre on Sunday 20^th October 2013 from 11am until 4pm.

The fair, run by vintage-enthusiast and fine artist, Amelia Barnes, has become renowned for its focus on high-quality and original suppliers offering handmade wedding services with a focus on stylish, contemporary vintage. Many of the wedding industry’s most talented and unique suppliers are already confirmed on the exhibitors list, including Annamarie Stepney Photography, Donna Crain headdresses, Love Art Wear Art shoes, Vintage Floral Teas, Fiona Kelly Photography, Oxfam Bridal and many more.

 

In addition to its list of creative exhibitors, Miss Vintage Wedding Affair is well known for being a full vintage wedding experience. The first 400 brides to arrive at the fair will receive a goodie bag, filled with exciting gifts. Musicians such as The Vintage DJ and Chris Ward Guitarist will provide entertainment throughout the day, and interactive stalls such as Lucy Lou’s Pop-Up Parlour will give brides the opportunity to relax, be pampered and try out styles for their big day.

London caterers, FEAST, will be on hand to tempt brides with a full lunch menu of nutritious, mouth-watering food and a glass of bubbly in the vintage tea room.

Meet  Sabrina Lily – Hair & Make-Up Artist.

       I am a London based Hair and Make-Up Artist. I trained at CBMA, an academy that specialised in Hair and Make Up research and styling for films and television – this training gave me a great insight into real period hair and make-up. From a beauty side I have worked at Space NK and worked with many other high end make-up brands and am absolutely obsessed with great skin, especially before a wedding day. Whether you want to look completely natural, or if you want a 40s lip or a complete 60s theme I can help you create a beautiful look for your day! I am currently working on Wicked the Musical, when I am not covered in green paint I work on a freelance basis on editorial shoots and weddings.

Join a Free Paper Rose Workshops with The Story House

Join a Free Paper Rose Workshops with The Story House , formally known as Moll & Mostin on the day of Miss Vintage Wedding Affair!

As part of the days events Lucy of The Story House has devised a great little workshop so that you can DIY your way to a unique day! You will create a paper rose, much like the ones in the photos shown here! Whether you want to use them for your bouquets, buttonholes or venue decorations, paper roses are easy, fun, size adaptable, and really versatile, as well as being beautiful. Use them to express your own interests, using vintage paper, sheet music, or, for those with itchy feet, maps.

Take a few moments away from the beautiful stalls, pop yourself down at The Story House craft table, and choose from a pile of beautiful vintage papers. In just half an hour you'll learn to make your beautiful paper roses. You'll come away with your own Paper Rose brooch and an instruction leaflet so you can reproduce them at home - all for free!

The workshops will be held at 11.20, 12.50, 14.20 and 15.30.

The Nightingales are a stylish and sophisticated vocal duo with a great repertoire that mixes the modern classics of Adele and Estelle with the old fashioned soulful sounds of Natalie Cole and Nina Simone.They will be performing throughout the day at the fair in the tearoom, so come and have a listen over a scone and tea, or even a glass of Champagne on the day of the fair!!
